Questions
- Is the image uploaded anywhere?
- No. The file is drawn onto a canvas in your browser and decoded locally with JavaScript. Nothing is sent to Qreator, so there is no copy to delete.
- Why can't it read my photo?
- Usually blur, glare or a code that fills too little of the frame. Crop tightly around the code, keep it flat and evenly lit, and avoid heavy compression. The reader retries at several scales automatically.
- Can I tell whether a code is static or dynamic?
- Often, yes. If the decoded payload is a short redirect link on a shortener or QR provider's domain, the code is dynamic and its destination can be changed. A long, final URL or raw text means the payload is baked in.
