Why vCard codes are static

A vCard code carries the full contact record, so it works offline and needs no service behind it. That also means it cannot be edited after printing. If your details change often, print a dynamic URL code that points to a contact page you control instead.

Keep the code readable

Long vCards create dense patterns. Include only the fields you really need, keep the printed size at 2.5 cm or more for business cards, and leave a quiet margin around the pattern so scanners can lock on quickly.

Is my contact data stored by Qreator?
No. The vCard payload is encoded fully inside the image, so your details never reach our servers.
Can I edit a vCard QR code after printing it?
No, vCard codes are static by nature. For details that change, use a dynamic URL code pointing to a contact page you can update.
Which fields should I include?
Name, phone, email and company cover most cases. Every extra field makes the pattern denser and slightly harder to scan at small print sizes.
