How a WiFi QR code works
The code encodes a short standard string with your SSID, the security type and the password. iOS and Android camera apps recognise that format natively and offer to join the network. Because everything is inside the image, the scan works even where there is no mobile data at all.
Where to place it
Reception desks, hotel rooms, waiting rooms, co-working spaces, holiday rentals and cafés. Print at least 3 cm per side for close-range scanning, keep a clear white margin around the code, and laminate it if the sign will be handled often.

- Is my WiFi password sent to Qreator?
- No. WiFi codes are generated in your browser and encoded directly into the image, so the password never reaches our servers.
- Do WiFi QR codes work on iPhone and Android?
- Yes. Both platforms read the standard WIFI: format from the native camera app and show a prompt to join the network.
- What happens if I change the password?
- The old code stops working, because the password is inside it. Generate and reprint a new code, or point guests to a dynamic code that opens a page with the current credentials.
