Good uses for an email code

Warranty registrations, support requests with a pre-filled ticket subject, restaurant feedback, RSVP replies and B2B quote enquiries. A fixed subject line also lets you filter or auto-route the incoming messages in your inbox.

Keep the body short

Everything you pre-fill is stored inside the code, so a long default message produces a dense pattern that scans poorly in print. Keep the body to one or two lines and let the sender add the rest.

Questions, answered

Will the email send automatically?
No. The scan only opens the mail app with the fields pre-filled; the person still reviews and sends the message.
Can I track how many people scanned it?
Not with a static email code. To measure scans, use a dynamic code that points to a landing page with a contact form.
Which mail apps are supported?
Any app registered as the default mail handler, including Apple Mail, Gmail and Outlook.
