When PNG is the right choice

Screens. A PNG drops straight into a website, a slide, an email template or an Instagram story with no conversion step. For print, switch to SVG: enlarging a raster file softens the module edges and reduces the scan reliability that matters most on paper.

Sizing on screen

Keep the on-screen code at least 150 by 150 pixels, and larger for a projected slide at the back of a room. Leave the quiet zone intact and avoid placing the code over a busy photo background.

Questions, answered

Is the PNG watermarked?
No. Codes are watermark-free on every plan, including the free one, and can be used commercially.
What resolution do I get?
The export is high resolution and suitable for any screen use; for print we recommend the SVG vector file instead.
Does the PNG have a transparent background?
The background colour you choose in the editor is exported. Keep strong contrast between modules and background so the code scans reliably.
